Thanksgiving is a time to reflect back and give thanks to our Lord for all of the blessings we have received in the previous year. Not everyone, even in Palatine or our own congregation, have enough to eat. This is our opportunity to help those right here in our own backyards.
Next weekend the bags (with a list of needed items) will be available to bring home, fill, and return each weekend up to Thanksgiving. All items will be used to re-stock the Good Samaritan Ministry Food Pantry.
Chancel: One of two main divisions of the worship space. It is the part of the building where the altar is located, that is, on its actual or so-called liturgical east end. In most church buildings the chancel is one or two steps higher than the nave.
