The Cambodia mission trip was full of surprises just as Pastor Warren prayed on the commissioning Sunday before we left.
We attended the new “Immanuel, Snor” church on both Sundays , and enjoyed seeing the new church building and grounds built since we were last there in 2017. Mostly children attend, and it was wonderful to interact with them as we gave the message, acted out Bible stories , and sang and did activities together. After church, we walked through friendly Snor among their homes and saw up close how they live, stopping to talk to and pray with people along the way.
We traveled to another city, Sisophon , and spent 5 days there, holding an eyeglass clinic each day in a different village , setting up our clinic stations sometimes indoors and other times outside in the shade of a house on stilts, chickens and roosters and stray dogs roaming under our feet. The local pastors were able to give an opening gospel message to the people waiting, most of whom were not church-attendees, and were grateful for the outreach opportunity. We estimate that we saw approximately 700 people and gave out about 900 pairs of glasses. The clients each bowed and said thank you as they received their glasses. We were also honored to witness Pastor Samuel baptize 26 young people in a hotel pool. To God be the glory for a successful trip. Please pray that seeds planted will result in many coming to faith and also for your possible involvement in the next trip!
