Thank you to everyone who attended and/or donated resources for the Women’s event, held last Saturday. 33 people attended, including guests from Prince of Peace, St. Matthew Hawthorne Woods, Family in Faith in Glendale Heights and Trinity, Roselle. Thrivent provided a $250 grant that was used to purchase supplies for the service project for daysforgirls.org. Over $300 raised to cover costs and purchase more supplies. Thanks be to God!
The theme of the Women’s Retreat was “Women Called by God: Yes, That’s You!“. Women have been making a difference since Eve was created. Women have been the influencers for change forever. Participants took a journey to visit Women from the Bible, in the recent past, present, and even the future. God has put women influencers in our lives and this retreat was a chance to reflect on personal influencers and how to be an influencer for Him.
