Plans are underway for Immanuel Lutheran Church to send its second mission team to support the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Cambodia in growing GOD’s Kingdom. The mission trip will probably occur in late February or early March, 2017.
Potential programs or projects which we may assist with include participating in worship services, community prayer walks, vacation Bible school, adult Bible study, teen Bible study, English workshops, visiting an orphanage, serving a community meal as well as conducting an eye glass clinic (The first team left more than 500 pairs for distribution). Final selection of the projects and programs will be based upon what is needed by the Church in Cambodia at the time of the mission trip and the skills and talents of the team that God has selected. You will be stretched out of your comfort zone, but you will also grow in your faith and trust in God for His glory.
The cost for this mission trip will range between $2500 and $3000 per individual. This includes the cost of the airfare, lodging, food, transportation, and translators, as well as the purchase of materials and supplies that will be needed. Although some general fund-raising activities may occur, the majority of the cost will need to be covered by each team member.
Ask God if He is calling you to participate in this year’s trip. Remember that God does not call the equipped, He equips the called! If you have any questions or concerns regarding this mission trip, are moved to want to explore your possible participation, or simply wish to contribute financially, please contact either Andy or Julianne Radetski or Steve or Marilyn Kosmella via the church office at 847-359-1549
